Streets was NOT played that night
by hibricc - 17/11/2016

In case nobody has pointed it out yet.... U2 did NOT play "Streets" that night, so iTunes is not guilty of removing it. Every so often on the JT tour, the show opened with the band coming onstage with the house lights still up, and joining in to the intro song playing over the PA - "Stand By Me". As someone else mentioned, iTunes probably had a clearance issue with that song, and "C’mon Everybody" which followed it. The next song in the set was "I Will Follow", which is where this collection picks up.

Personally, I think the great bands should release a live album (I SAY "album," but...) for every tour, because every tour is different and live albums serve as terrific time capsules. This one is no exception. The Joshua Tree tour was outstanding. Saw ’em at Three Rivers Stadium (in the 17th row) on a cold Fall evening. And this recording makes for a great memory of that night. It’s before The Fly. Before the big light shows. And before the Hall of Fame. This was the tour that changed everything. And you should own it.

Things to be aware of before you buy - positives AND negatives.
by Andrew M - 17/11/2016

Please keep in mind before you buy that this is the audio rip of the DVD that was included in the remastered Joshua Tree Boxed Set. With that the show recorded on July 4th 1987 demonstrates U2 at what was considered their highest point during the 1980’s. While the concert showcases excellent performances of what is considered classic U2 there is nothing much we have not seen before. Many of these songs have had "live" releases before in one incarnation or another. Another detraction from this CD is that there are three songs missing. While iTunes advertises that there is an excerpt of Marley’s "Exodus" they fail to mention that Island Records must not have been able to secure the rights for "Stand By Me", "C’Mon Everybody" and "Help" to be sold with this digital disc. However all in all you will not be disappointed with a twenty year old (plus) mastered audio example of U2 during this time period. I own the physical boxed set of the Remasted Joshua Tree album that had this show on DVD and I still bought this album if that helps you.
